The department of English was established in the year 1998 and is headed by Mrs. B. Lavanya Kumari having an experience of 25 years. Ever since the department has been catering to the needs of the students. The department is convinced in empowering the students with a fair knowledge of communication skills and also to develop fluency in the language.
The department of English is always zestful in helping the students to become fluent in speaking the language. It always takes a stand to provide enriched platform for the students to express their innate talents and creativity.
The pride of the department is its 100% result every year, and this is attributed to the healthy and harmonious relationship between the teacher and the students. The department encourages the students to exhibit their novel ideas and there by contribute their mite in the holistic development of their personal and professional endeavors.

The department of commerce came into existence in the year 1998 primarily to cater to the needs of commerce students. Ever since, the department has grown significantly with its sincere efforts to develop and impart applications of Accounting and Computer skills and also to gain knowledge in the areas of Accountancy, Statistics, Insurance and various Computer languages.
The department conducts teacher and students centric activities, faculty development programmes, seminars, guests lectures, extension lectures and other Commerce oriented activities. The students are taken to Industrial visits and regular awareness sessions are conducted by professional institutes like Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
The department takes pride to mention that many of our students secured 100% marks in the papers pertaining to their course.

Computer science was started both for the B.Com & B.Sc. streams in the year 1998.The Department aims to train the students in various computer languages and in its applications. In this course they learn the basics of Computer languages, Web designing, Cyber security etc.

The department of Data Science is to educate the next generation of computer professionals and academics who will practice Data Science and understand the fundamental principles of data science and continue to develop their technical competence and to pursue advanced education, research and development and other creative efforts in science and technology.
Microbiology is the scientific study of unicellular microorganisms. Microbiology encompasses numerous sub disciplines including virology, bacteriology, parasitological, mycology and immunology. Microbiologists traditionally rely on culture, staining and microscopy for the isolation and identification of microorganisms. Microbiologists currently rely on molecular biology tools such as DNA sequence based identification.

The department of Chemistry was established in 2006 as one of the optional papers for the M.Bt.C. and Applied Nutrition courses in 2020.The main aim of the department is to provide thorough knowledge of the fundamental principles of Chemistry and its contemporary practices. It enables the students to investigate, explain, and predict new features of the subject and adopt its practical application.

In 3 years of course students will learn 5 disciplines of chemistry that include Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic chemistry, Bio-chemistry

Students will learn about mechanism of enzyme catalyzed reactions, metabolism, compounds containing carbon like drugs, plastics, 3D structure of organic molecules and so on.
